About Gastronauts
Americans have Zagat. The French have Michelin. We've got Gastronauts.
This isn't about stars or stars or stars. This is about whether the chicken was cooked, whether the bread was actually bread and not that sad compressed foam, whether the service was welcoming or was treated like a nuisance, and whether I'd actually go back or tell my mates to avoid it.
I write these reviews for two reasons: first, because someone should remember which curry house had the best vindaloo last winter, and second, because proper criticism — fair but honest — is the only thing keeping restaurants honest.
No paid reviews. No free meals in exchange for a good score. If I wouldn't eat there with my own money, I won't write about it here.
